Michelle absolutely loves Smith Mountain Lake and all the water offers. During the summer in her spare time, you can usually find her with her family on the water whether it be by boat, float, island or dock!
Since 2013 Michelle has boated SML and felt the need for a Friendly Flag! This flag is flown to simply represent you are open to meeting new friends who are enjoying the same waters.
For instance, If you see someone in a small private cove or parked against Smith Mountain who is flying the flag, simply means they have open arms to the next boater who may want to enjoy the cove, island or beach!
I often see one single boat in a cove parked against Smith Mountain and not always do those boaters want privacy. Believe it or not, most of us welcome all! My kids would love to meet new friends just as much as I would; Especially others who have the same love for Smith Mountain Lake!
I created the Friendly flag to represent the Sun and Water. The top of the flag is Yellow for the Sun; the bottom is Blue for the Water. These flags are for sale until Sold Out! The first fulfillment was only 50 flags! We may purchase more as the quality is excellent! The price is $25.00 even. I’ve included the tax for an even number.
